Nationally syndicated radio program ECHOES features David Belmont

David Belmont and the WindWater Ensemble started 2008 positively radioactive. The award-winning radio program Echoes, hosted by John Diliberto, ran two features on David and the band in the first 8 weeks of the year. In January, a half hour long Living Room concert by the chamber version of the Ensemble (Michael Walsh on keyboards, Jerry McCord on bass, and Premik Tubbs on saxello, wind synth and lap steel guitar) aired on the 150 radio stations in the Echoes network. An interview with David, narrated by Kimberly Haas, ran in February. Tracks from the concert will be featured on David Belmont’s next album, due out in the spring.

Postmodern Panache Gets Airplay

Songs from Postmodern Panache can be heard on the syndicated radio show, ECHOES, plus many stations all across the country. About the track Mr Miles, which is a tribute to Miles Davis; Gregory Davis, oldest son of the legendary jazz artist, said, “the song definitely sounds like my father’s post-Britches Brew phase. It sounds like something he would be into today if he were here, a fitting tribute.”

David Belmont and WindWater Ensemble’s prior CD Windwater Excursions spent 8 months on the New Age Voice Top 100 Airplay List, thanks in part again to ECHOES and their vast radio audience.

MySpace Page Launched in August

Currently he is the #1 Ambient artist and Top 2 in two other genres. Comments on the site refer to Postmodern Panache as “the album to unwind to.”

New WindWater Studio Record Mastered by a Master

Postmodern Panache, the new WindWater Ensemble recording is being mastered by Rick Rowe Mastering. Rick cut his studio teeth with Eddie Kramer at Electric Lady Studios…back in the day: Rick was the recordist for Stevie Wonder’s seminal LP Music of My Mind. He has worked at the Record Plant, Hit Factory, Sound Ideas…virtually all the famous NYC rooms. While at RCA, Rick remastered the entire catologs of Elivs Presley and Sam Cooke. He masters the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame CD annually. And, yes, he did both of the prior WindWater studio releases: Excursions and Portaits and Landscapes. Get ready to massage your ears!

Invisible Cities at the Punch List Stage

Invisible Cities, an infectious program of world fusion arrangements created with flair and humor by David Belmont and holographer/magician Rick Silberman is in the final stages of mixing. Employing the most advanced postmodern technology, David and Rick seemlessly combine rhythms from Japan, Thailand, North America and elsewhere with a wide array of guitars, vocals, and horns (even some didgeridoo!) to create an inspired blend of danceable sounds that put a smile on your face. The CD will be available on this web site shortly.
